Harrow candidates' letter

As elections approach, I have appreciated the arguments and banter over council tax in the recent editions of The Harrow Times. I was sorry, however, to read a letter published a few weeks ago which began with an attack on a named member of another party; by casting his letter in this way the writer undermined his efforts to present his party’s record and the letter came over as undignified.

What can I add to what has been contributed so far to the debate without going over the same basic ground ? For the sake of brevity, I would like to draw readers’ attention to the record of my party colleagues from Oxford, whose achievements included turning round the city’s finances after the previous administration had run down the city’s reserves in their entirety.

I would like re-assure Harrow’s residents that Green councillors returned in the forthcoming local elections would ensure the lessons in good practice learned in Oxford will be made available for all the residents and businesses within the borough.
