Letter to the Editor - 13 February 2002 Environmental Funding I would like to thank all those who wrote to Ken Livingstone and Greater London Assembly members calling for funding of new environmental initiatives to be retained in the GLA budget. As a result of pressure from the Green GLA members and a large number of letters, the resources to take action on air quality, waste, energy and noise have been saved. In addition, a new Animal Protection Officer will lead the fight against animal abuse in London. Tim Turner |
